2026 MEETING and EVENT SCHEDULE
The Symmes Historical Society meets on the 3rd Thursday of each month (see below for starting times). The regular monthly meeting place for the Society has been changed to the Ross Family Log House at 11887 Lebanon Road. The Society is no longer meeting at the Meade House or Township facility.
This is the listing the regular meeting dates for 2026. Please note that meetings may be canceled or re-scheduled due to weather or programs. These changes will be noted on the website so that you may confirm a date.
The Officers and the members invite you to attend our meetings which are held at the Log House.
June 6 and 7 - Log House Open - 1-3pm
June 25 - Meeting - 7pm (new date)
June 20 and 21 - Log House Open - 1-3pm
JUNE 24 - SAVE THE DATE - SPECIAL PRESENATION
The Society will host a program by Gary Knepp and Mike Stretch om "THE STORY OF CAMP DENNISON - 1861 - 1865"
This new book is about Camp Dennison's valuable role in local history and the Civil War. Join us on June 24 - 6:30 pm at the Symmes Safety Center, 8871 Weeklt Lane (45249). Presentation includes lots of wartime visuals and maps to help tell the story.
July 11 and 12 - Log House Open - 1-3pm (Date change due to July 4 Holiday)
July 16 - Meeting - 7pm
July 18 and 19 - Log House Open - 1-3pm
August 1 and 2 - Log House OPen - 1-3pm
August 15 and 16 - Log House Open - 1-3pm
August 20 - Meeting - 7pm
September 5 and 6 - Log House OPen - 1-3pm
September 17 - Meeting - 7pm
September 19 and 20 - Log House Open - 1-3pm
October 3 and 4 - Log House Open - 1-3pm
October 15 - Meeting - 7pm
October 17 and 18 - Log House Open 1-3pm (END OF SEASON)
REMEMBER - the log house can be open for you and/or your group. Just send us a email (shown on title page) and we will contact you to make arrangements.
The Log House is also available for rental by small groups. Please contact us for more information. What a unique experience this could be for you or your group.
